This was a unique trip in that we had no itinerary or true destination besides the 8thcivic.com meetup at Tail of the Dragon. We took it one day at a time and decided to see how far we could go/how many new states and cities we could see in just over a week.
My first time in West Virginia we found some awesome roads off the highway with switchbacks and some very fun curves. In Memphis we ordered “Beers to go” on the street and enjoyed some live blues music. New Orleans was another city that boasted street drinking along with live Cajun music on Bourbon street.
From New Orleasns we made our way through Alabama up to Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville is easily one of the coolest cities in the country. Arriving late on a Wednesday night we had no problem finding live music in every bar we visited.
After Nashville we headed east into the Smokey Mountains via Tail Of The Dragon. Joining up with dozens of other 8th generation civics we cruised Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala skyway. We ended the last night of the trip in Raleigh, NC and then headed back to Syracuse.
